INTRODUCTION

 HEY GUYS!

My name is Pranav Karthik and welcome to my blog. Here we are going to explore all the microscopic processes that goes on in our body in a simplistic and understandable manner. 

SO WHAT WILL WE SEE HERE?

Well, the main topic we will focus on here is going to be the immune system. With the current situation of a global pandemic, people are left searching for answers to understand what is going on and this can help them. 

The human body is an extremely complex structure. Each little thing, from the cells to the muscles, from the blood vessels to the heart, from the nerves to the brain, has its own unique system and process. It works in its own manner, without affecting the other parts of the body, in complete coordination. Its interesting to see how much the human system has evolved to form such a arrangement, to work in its own style, each system working together like gears in a machine to form the ultimate living organism; and yet we aren't close to perfection! 

One such system which I find intriguing is the one that acts as the war army of the body - the immune system. 

There are many things to explore in this particular field, from what the immune system is, to what it comprises of, how it fights back against the threats, how it recognises the incoming attack and many more, and that is what I'm going to try to explain in my upcoming blogs.

PROTEINS - THE WORKERS IN OUR BODY.

  What is a protein? A middle schooler would say that proteins are what help to build muscles, that they are the building blocks to developing tissues or that they help in tissue repairing. But there is so much more to them and they are not as simple as they seem. A protein is what you would call, a complex molecule. It is composed of a series of compounds known as amino acids. These amino acids, join together in a unique sequence to form a protein molecule. The different sequence that these compounds join together in, determines the type of protein molecule formed. For example, Immunoglobulin A ( a type of protein used to fight invading diseases) has a unique sequence or combination of amino acids while histones ( a type of protein found in the DNA) has a different amino acid sequence.
